None of the Americans I know have such messy amd disorganized refrigerators like this. That being said, the info on how to store vegetables was really helpful.

One of my best investments was clear refrigerator organizers. There are some good ideas in this video. Many, like the paper cups for small items in the refrigerator door, are ones I already use. These ideas are not simply ideas used by Japanese households.

I’ve barely started watching and already learned so much! The paper bags for produce is brilliant. It makes sense scientifically yet I’ve never considered it, nor heard this from anyone else. I’m subscribed!

Good ideas. Thanks. I'm American and have never seen your stereotyped example of a mess, but we always like new ideas. <br>I use 3 clear sweater boxes as 3 drawers that pull out. I don't have to move the cottage cheese and the yogurt to get to the sour cream.<br>For the summer, I've been making low-carb wraps with a variety of meats, cheese, onions, pickles, lettuce, and mayo. All but the lettuce and mayo fit in containers stored upright in the sweater box. Onions (already cut) and pickles are in the same container, same with cheeses. Lettuce keeps for a couple weeks if the core is removed and pieces are torn into serving sizes and stored in a ziplock bag. <br>One sweater box holds paper cups of my combo of plain Greek yogurt, blueberries, and possibly chia or walnuts. I use Splenda or local honey. <br>I like the idea of putting little packet in a paper cup. Cardboard separators might work for my stainless steel bottles of filtered water. <br>Two clear lazy Susans with 3" walls have been life changing for me for milk, cream, water, and lemonade. No moving one thing to get to the other. Unopened dairy containers sit on the shelf. Unopened lemonade goes in the cupboard.<br>The paper bags are interesting, and I'd love to have a cup of fresh basil in water.<br>I haven't seen those bags of condiments. Does the food come in them or do you buy the bags?<br>I did splurge on the more expensive mayonnaise that can be squeezed.<br>I have also seen that we can store advocados in a jar of water. I forgot to try that.

Tip 6 for herbs also works for bunches of spinach. These are all excellent suggestions for fridge organization, although I'm not sure how to use the curtain rod.
