I wish I had paused and absorbed the messages being shared here many years ago. I have spent most of my adult life looking for something, sorting piles and hiding stuff that I thought I might need some day, and finding I never needed it in the first place. It’s a hard truth but I’m telling myself it is never too late to make change.🇨🇦🥺

I agree with most of this. (I do most of this)<br>However, having an upstairs & multiple bathrooms means I do have doubles. Keeping cleaning products where you use them means cleaning just happens it doesn't require running to the one designated spot for cleaning & going back to the area & then cleaning. Also I will have multiple items like scissors & tape on each floor (in a designated spot) to avoid running up and down the stairs. But if we were on one floor I'd absolutely cut out many of my multiples.<br>Thank you for your video.<br>I'm going to look into your books.<br>Many hugs, Z. Allora

I do most of these things (learned from my Czech mother) but since we use scissors in different rooms for different jobs, I have them in those rooms. If we only had one pair, they would wander around and be hard to find. These tips are helpful for people with ADHD.

When I owned my own house, I learned quickly moving items from the floor to a bookcase changed the appearance of my living from messy to neat (even without rearranging items). I currently live in a 2 room apartment. Sitting at my dining table, mail is sorted as it comes in. The outer envelop plus junk mail is tossed while items like bills go into my Sunday box. I can also easily flip through any catalogues, or set them aside (in my Sunday file) to look at later.. For the past several years, I have learned the advantage of unpacking boxes into their smaller components before putting items away. Growing up in a large family, I learned to keep a give a way bag (or more often box) in the front closet for things I want to give away. Keeping things where they are used makes infinitely more sense than keeping them where they simply look good.
