  My great uncle actually guarded Rudolph Hess’s cell from 1975-1984<br>From what he said he would play chess with him by telling him where he moved and then he would tell him where he wanted his pieces moved. He lost 3 times to him

  My dad escorted his body to Bavaria from RAF Gatow. I remember going to work that morning and the road was closed on camp to let the coffin make its way to the airfield.

  My grandad told me about his life living in British Sector Berlin after WW2. Everyday to school he’d walk past this prison, the guards would take turns, one time they’d be Brits, another time the French, then the Americans, then the Soviets.

  It’s crazy that Albert Speer got less time than Hess. Speer caused countless deaths through forced labor and the munitions he cultivated. Hess wasn’t even there for the worst of it.
