  SAAB  did not "accidently" make this superstrong engine! SAAB was ALL about engineering, nothing by accident in those halls. Vi saknar dig SAAB🇸🇪👏

  Saab Tuner here, i live and breathe these engines every day. PS You showed a picture of an old APC unit, not a Trionic 5 ECU. I have standard engines running 500-550 bhp with no issues at all. At the time of its release in 1993 Trionic 5 was the worlds most advanced engine management system.

  My B204L has currently 391k km on the clock, is on the first turbo, has zero oil consumption and is mapped to 215hp instead of the stock 185. Runs like a dream. Best engine

  What is a bit depressing is the last company who focused on over engineering components ultimately failed. They built cars that lasted a long time but were overtaken by cheaper cars built to fall apart. We moan about poor quality but won’t pay for excellent quality.

  Saab purist here! Me and my dad have 3 Saabs and a Volvo! I bought a 9-3 Monte Carlo and tuned it a bit, we're keeping them alive!

  My father had an 84 900 turbo with some extra goodies like rear window louvers and the upgraded exhaust. <br>Boy did that thing have some throat at idle. Not to mention it went pretty good. <br>While everyone else was nuking turbos in them he was religious about letting it idle for a minute or 5 depending on how hard he was driving it. <br>Definitely was a neat car.

  have a 93 aero coupe 98 with a b204 t5/t7 hybrid 450hp on the wheels. original internals 900s cams gt30 turbo and running e85. got arp bolts Quaife diff and 6speed straight cut.

  Bofors made the cranks. <br>Ha my running with 400-500hp for 14 years until i sold it at 290000km.<br>Engine has NEVER even been opened sins it left the factory 1994.

  I owned a 9000 Aero (B234R) for seven years, the engine was the best thing of the car by far. Powerful, reliable, easy to work on, refined (for a four cylinder) and very good fuel economy. I didn&apos;t tuned it, it was fast enough for me and the gearboxes are not the strongest.<br>They like frequent oil changes, though.
