  The best type of helmet is the integral. I wore a simple helmet only protecting my head, not my face. It almost cost me my life. I spent six months in hospital and facial reconstruction surgery to recover.

  As a licensed motorcycle mechanic for over 40 years, I can say that the BEST wheel and steering head  bearing grease is MARINE "salt water proof grease"!!!!!

  Been riding approximately 6 decades. Guess I’m considered a seasoned rider. Do my own maintenance. Never ride like I’m at the beach. Road rash is never forgiving. Takes a long amount of time to heal the rash and busted bones. Ride like the idiots driving their cars  never see ya. Most drive like they have tunnel vision. You’re not in their vision. Enter an intersection with great care. Splitting lanes today is not the best idea. After the red light turns green, count to 3 before ya make the hot dog leap. There seems to be some fool running the light and that fool won’t see ya tell the after they are scooping ya up. People riding double, forget about the person on the back just hanging on. Especially the crutch rocket riders scare the hell out of me. Small bike, nobody sees them and they ride like a bat running from hell. Slow down enjoy the ride. Keep the two tires on the road, keep the wind in your face! Clean the bugs off the teeth. And the Sun at your back. See ya down the road..

  Change your oil and filter. Change your plugs. <br> Change your brake pads. Change all your wheel bearings. &nbsp; Cuts down on a lot of these &nbsp;Problems. I ride &nbsp;around 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year. &nbsp;I have for &nbsp;40 years.

  This is good advice for cheap or piecetogether bikes maybe dirt bikes. Quality machines have quality gauges that work correctly. If they don’t you should have the fixed if you can’t do it yourself
