I am a retired aerospace professional and one suggestion I would make is that everyone should wear shoes that connot slide off your feet (flip flops, Birks, sandals, slides) in case of emergency. Debris, fuel, fire, glass may all be present but even more important is the evacuation slide. Bare feet or sandals are no bueno.

My son gave me a genius suggestion. He puts a pair of shoes instead of water bottles in the side holders of his backpack.

I prefer a backpack for my trolly sleeve bag, because if I have to walk down steps or up it’s much easier to put it on my back rather than hand carry it. I’ve done both & just wouldn’t do hand held anymore. I’m only 150cm tall & weigh 47kgs & I struggle trying to carry two hand held bags 😂

Im paying to check my bags now. Just so much easier. One Hello Kitty purse, my Hokas, and I’m good to go. I’m just too old to do that much thinking.

Away Everywhere vs. Bento Bag please!!! I have the Bento and have been considering the Away (my go-to for suitcases). I'd love to see your comparison!

I always put everything that's going in the security tray in my personal bag so I just toss the carry-on on the belt unopened. Then after I get through security I move anything I can into the carry-on. One time I forgot I had to go through security again for a domestic connection and I had to move it back into my personal bag again and you wouldn't believe how annoyed I was about it.
