  The number of inaccuracies in the video is enormous. Counting everything before 1795 as a dissapearance of Poland is an inexcusable stretch. Especially treating the unification with Lithuania under the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth as a disappearance of Poland is ridiculous - it's like saying England disappeared in 1707 because it unified with Scotland under the Kingdom of Great Britain

  Ok, as polish history teacher I think I will have to correct some things. Possibly everything. Starting with &quot;most bullied country on earth&quot; part. Having lots of conflicts, even if you loose quite a few isnt being bullied as long as you fight back. And pretty often Poland was the agressor and not the one defending itself. Being bullied implies you are helpless victim. And that was rarely the case. But I will probably expand on those points when we get to this smug ignoramus &quot;arguments&quot;. Him talking with such confidence doesnt make him less wrong!<br><br>1) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsa3d_M7SNg&amp;t=319">5:19</a> &quot;Kingdom of Poland existed for 6 years&quot; sounds very dramatic. KINGDOM existed for 6 years. Polish state existed still. Poland simply reverted to being a duchy/principality (whichever is sovereign one in english) it was before Boleslaws coronation of 1025<br>Also Bezprym didnt castrate Mieszko. When Poland was double taged by Holy Roman Empire and Kievan Rus (very early iteration of Russia) Mieszko escaped to Czech and that is where he got castrated by a local ruler. All this more than Bezprym machinations was a result of Boleslaws I the Breave politics. He fought all the neighbours, mostly winning. But when he died Poland was left with lot of neighbours with grievences. 2 invaded from both sides, Mieszko escaped south but he didnt conciderate Czechs also didnt like Boleslaw and had a debt of violence to settle with him. He was long dead but his sun just visited them looking for place to wait the storm in. Unlucky for him. Bezprym that usurped his power sent his royal jewles to holy roman empire thus making Poland principality instead of kingdom, and czechs reaped off his family jewels with a rope.<br><br><br>2) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsa3d_M7SNg&amp;t=560">9:20</a> Boleslaw Krzywousty splitting Poland between his sons. Again Poland didnt disapear really. It was split into several smaller states. Neither was trully &quot;Poland&quot; but in a way all of them put together were. Poland did exist - kinda. In a weird messy way. Wanted to compare it to holy roman empire but truthfully probably Japan during sengoku jidai would be better comparisment. It was closer to being real disapearence than last one (which was no disapearance at all) but even then - since most polish lands remain in hands of dynasty that founded Poland in the first place, I&apos;d say it still doesnt count. It splited. Not disapeared. Did roman empire disapeared when it became western and eastern roman empire? Is either of them some new random nation or are both equally roman (though also very diferent) empires?<br><br>3) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsa3d_M7SNg&amp;t=745">12:25</a> - 1385. OH Come on! This guy maybe read polish history in like a very shortened version. But he didnt understand one bit of it. 1385 Union of Krewa is an act in which aliance between Poland and Lithuania was decided as was marriage between Jadwiga and Jagiello + baptism of latter and his country. But they didnt became one state. Thats 1569 and union of Lublin (creation of Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth). Also Jagiello didnt became ruller in 1385. Jadwiga wasnt queen of Poland (as in wife of a king) she held a title of a KING. They shared power after the wedding but if anything she was still the king and he was her husband rather other way around (him being only ruler and her being his wife). At any rate AGAIN - no disapearing! If anything thanks to this union Poland was probably at its most powerfull in history to that point. But to be fair same can be said about Lithuania - very large state, but sparsly populated and with no real answer to heavy knights of teutonic order &nbsp;on their own. As proven in battle of Grunwald (Germans call it Tannenberg - I think) in 15th VII 1410. Largest battle of medieval europe &nbsp;where mighty teutonic order got spanked and pretty much broken by polish-lithuanian forces.<br><br><br><br>4) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsa3d_M7SNg&amp;t=829">13:49</a> - Ok finally we are getting somewhere. Yeah swedish deluge (1655-1660) was a time Sweden took control of nearly entire polish lithuanian commonwealth. But again. It still doesnt really count. They didnt even secure every province (as they couldnt Commonwealth was huge with 10 times swedish population, elite but not that huge swedish army also had limits) when in like 6 months since invasion Polish people decided to kick them out. And even if - IF - Swedes were lucky enough to ocupy 100% of commonwealth territory (which again - never happened) Poland was occupied, it accepted loyality to swedish king (for a time) but never disapeared due to it. It was still on the maps and in real world. So what it this guy talking about? <br><br><br>I kinda planed to watch this entire video but it really broke me. Its hard to listen to all of this BS about your beloved country from someone that knows very little about it. 1795 - third partition of Poland. Thats first true disapearance of Poland. Up until that point there were ups (we took Moscow long before Napoleon;)) and downs like deluge. But Poland was there always since 966 to 1795. Yeah borders, rulling dinasties, names of the country did change at times but, switchng name from Poland to polish-lithuanian commonwealth didnt make Poland dissapear. Technically when it happened Poland became twice larger as it incorporated some of lithuanian lands (Ukraine mostly) directly.<br><br><br>Anyway If Chriss or anyone else would ever read it I hope it will shine some more light of context on what was said here. Thanks for reading whoever you were. English is not my first language - sorry for spelling misfires. And sorry if I sounded overly agressive towards whoever made original video. I do know he didnt plan to spit on history of Poland. But in a way he kinda did anyway. To make this video sound more exciting he was willingly or not spit myths and outright lies with sprinkles of truth here and there...

  Fun fact, when Poland was partitioned and our culture was most repressed, we had the greatest outpouring of artistic talent in our history. Our best works of art were created when we were occupied by theese three powers. Perhaps precisely because Polish culture was so severely persecuted by them?
