Sir, can you also add any references as to how I can get them appraised and towards whom can you direct me in these things too, as per having them sold through an auctioneer or a private sale, etc. Again thank you. Tom Seath.

Hello, I am 73 and on an aged pension and do not get about much these days, and so i stumbled onto these web sites to do with coin historical and intrinsic values and it invigorates me indeed. However, I am wondering why your heading says Australia's most expensive 50-cent coin - sold for millions and you mention only these six altra rare coins that you have said are worth under $100,000.00 dollars AUD. Why did you do that??? I have a Aussie 50-cent coin of 1983 vintage in a banged up condition. What would you assess or appraise its worth at, if not in millions, then in how many thousands...? And also I have a 1981, and a 1982, and a 1984 50-cent coins in almost proof condition, so how much would they be worth as well? And I am very new at this, as of only one month ago. Thank you. And I thank you too, for providing even us new comers with these insights of the historical value of our nations coinage. The history behind any of them is remarkable. Tom Seath.
