God would be ashamed of how these women have been punished for nothing more than creating life.<br>Im sorry and angry that these women had their lives ruined,some have sadly passed away never knowing what happened to their babies never seeing them again.<br>I can't imagine the heart break of a child of one of these poor women spending years trying to track their birth mother and then only to find she's passed on😢😢😢😢😢💐💐💐💐💐🙏🙏

"we once again offer our heartfelt sorrow and regret" That is in no way an apology, in fact, that just adds insult to injury because like the government, the church is failing to apologise to these women and the children who were forcibly removed from their mothers. This is a total disgrace.

What a terrible thing to do these young Mothers and Children, now they would be given a home and looked after, the way they treat these ladies & baby back then, not that long ago, was absolutely disgusting, an apology would go nowhere near to making up for this disgusting treatment, heartbreaking when you hear what they did to as many young single Mothers who wanted to keep their baby

I wasn't in a "mother and baby home", but my first born was abducted immediately at birth (Brisbane Australia). I didn't see him or hold him until he was a 44 year old man.
