  He played half his career with spinal instability from shoveling gravel for his mother’s driveway in the offseason before the 1985 season. That injury never healed and he regularly got spinal treatments to just mitigate the pain. That same season the Celtics won the Championship to top off one of the greatest seasons and arguably one of the greatest teams of all time.   Bird was the first 50-40-90 player! He was one of the toughest, most competitive, meanest players ever. Expert passer, shooter, rebounder, and highest IQ player ever!
