Back in 1990, I was shacked up with this gal on Siesta Key. We were driving each other crazy so I hit the road hitch hiking. Ran out of road in Key West. Lived there for six months working new construction on the Truman Annex. I was a party animal at the time and Key West is a fun place to be a party animal. Fond memories.

My cousin lived in an RV in the Keys after retiring from the military. He didn't do anything but relax for a year

So I knew a man. He lost almost every worker in his company in 9/11. He bought one of these Islands and goes at the end of summer and returns after the anniversary. He fishes and he said he can’t stand to hear the names called out every year. He had relatives working there too. Sad. All the money can’t erase tragedy. I’m also positive he does not worry about hurricanes. Because I asked.
