Narcissists don’t want to see you heal and grow, because it reminds them that they’re not, and makes them feel smaller. As I am healing, I try not to let them stop me. And the more I don’t let them stop me, I see it as a sign that I’m getting stronger.

Oh Yesss, I felt it… one night I went to bed and he was sleeping , and AllI COULD FEEL IS THE DEVIL. I was SOOO FREAKED OUT… I got my big BIBLE AND PUT IT ON MY CHEST, I PRAYED FOR OVER AN HOUR! <br>Finally I fell asleep. 2 weeks later….. he couldnt take my prayers and seeing me on my knees…. He Ran and Discarded me with Divorce. <br>Then…. He didn’t divorce me… just taunted me, slandered me to everyone, Played the super victim and took our money. <br>God gave me a Godly Lawyer, and serious JUDGE that slapped him with Emergency Spousal support and a DIVORCE. <br>2 years later….. I got Everything and then some. His own words Nailed him. Jesus Saw it all. I Never fought him, I let Jesus do it all!!

It's not only spirituality that they mock, in my experience. They will mock anything that is meaningful to you, presumably because the only thing that should matter to you is the narcissist.

Many years ago a priest , during confession ( I was broken/angry with my ex narc) said this to me : "you are bright, you look like light ....and many people hate and rage against light" . Well said Danish❤, at the time I didn't understand what he was talking about.

This answers one of my main questions about my female parent's abuse of me. I've known for over 30 years that she hated me at birth; now I know why. Recently, I saw old films of me as a baby and a toddler. I absolutely glowed with light. The darkness in her couldn't stand it. She tried to obliterate me, but here I am, age 76, shining, full of life and love. Thank you for adding so much to my understanding of my past. I feel more free than I have ever felt.
