  I installed a sig 40kwh about six months ago. The bidirectional DC charger is a game changer. Never ever think about running out of power at home even on the gloomiest days with heater running to keep the house toasty. The Sig is amazing. The only system that has it all. Every other system we compared had some deficiencies - battery unit size, inverter rating, mppt, modbus local control., physical footprint. The Sig ticked every box. Been power bill free since it was installed and i have full control.

  I had Sigenergy installed 18/Aug/2026 in Sydney Australia....so far really good.

  Thank you for the video. I hadn’t looked into Sigenergy or heard of it in Australia until now. Had goodwe solar panels installed 2 years ago with no issues and have decided to go for a 32kw goodwe battery system.Gets installed on Friday and with 300 days of sunshine in Townsville per year it will be interesting to see how it operates.

  Thank you for the comparison video. &nbsp;I&apos;m in the UK and I have been comparing GoodWe and SigEnergy for our home - I like the stack approach. &nbsp;We have gone for a GoodWe installation and importantly, here in the UK, there is no VAT (your GST) on energy saving equipment until the end of March 2027. &nbsp;Any quotes for Sig and comparable battery sizes were £15k to £16k. &nbsp;GoodWe quotes were £11k to £12k - and this is with similar spec solar panels too. &nbsp;Other reviews on YouTube - there are plenty of reviews from Australia regarding the GoodWe ESA and it was on those, despite GoodWe ESA being a new entrant to the UK market this spring (March 2026) - we&apos;ve gone for GoodWe. &nbsp;<br><br>Thanks again for the video.

  Solid advice,we had a Goodwe battery installed in Australia by cowboys and after a third party audit has been shut down deemed unsafe. Now waiting for the relevant authorities to investigate.

  My recent research showed that the throughput warranties are much closer than stated here.<br>It worked out to be only a 4% difference.<br>But DYOR.

  I recently had a new system installed, had one quote for just sigenergy and another quote where the same installer listed both sigenergy and goodwe. The price for sigenergy was much the same between the two installers, for same size panel capacity and same size battery.<br>For the installer that quoted both sigenergy and goodwe, using the exact same panels, the sigenergy price was over $7K more at the time, for the same size inverter and battery capacity.<br>So granted, based on what you say, that sigenergy is overall a bit better, but it&apos;s not like it&apos;s massive amounts better then goodwe (putting aside that the software is constantly evolving and being updated) and having to recover an extra $7K ROI is a big ask for something that for the most part, still does the same job.<br>Needless to say, I went with goodwe and so far (after it&apos;s been running for 3 months), it&apos;s all worked as expected. If I&apos;ll be saying the same thing after 3 years or more, I don&apos;t know, but then it does all have a 10 year warranty, so I should be fine.

  I was quoted FoxESS and Goodwe, but neither in the 30kwh range would fit against the wall under my inverters.<br>I checked out Sig with another respected solar / battery company, and the 3 x 10kwh (27 usable) fitted fine, a lot less in height.<br>To boot, it was cheaper than both other options !<br>6 weeks and it&apos;s booked for install onto existing solar.

  check the sigenstor requirements regarding cloud connection. the unit enters safe mode after 90 days without connection to cloud servers. warranty is also reduced. i think it is a reasonable concern that a monthly subscription can be added to any device you &quot;own&quot; that requires regular check-ins to cloud servers.

  I did my sums on tariffs and found the 3 free hours was not such a good deal when you account for the higher daily charge and all the other tariffs are high. I also found the export tariff was lower too. I went with a plan where the solar sponge is 21c and even the peak is 47c vs 56c for the free plan which I have not used since the install. The kicker is 26c for the evening export which means I only need to export 8-10 kW to negate my daily charge and any top ups in the solar sponge period for a zero bill. Totally avoid the peak charges and on a sunny day I am charged up from about 10kWhrs to 27kWhrs &nbsp;by about midday and then exporting any surplus for the pitiful 1c rate. <br>Loving the SigEn battery and got it set up on a time schedule so it only imports between <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMaVBazzck8&amp;t=840">14:00</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMaVBazzck8&amp;t=900">15:00</a> if the battery is below 80% and exports 8-10 kWhrs between <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMaVBazzck8&amp;t=1080">18:00</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMaVBazzck8&amp;t=1200">20:00</a> at 4-5 kWhrs /hr and a window between <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMaVBazzck8&amp;t=60">01:00</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMaVBazzck8&amp;t=360">06:00</a> if the battery gets below 20% which would be if I run the A/C overnight on a hot/muggy night. I have also limited battery charging /discharging to 10kW to coddle the battery in case solar + grid is potentially higher.
