  I had the chance to practice tea ceremony with a Japanese professor in college for a couple of years, and I never even knew the pond style existed. When I first saw it just now I was appalled, haha, but now I&apos;m curious to try it...<br><br>Update: I&apos;ve since tried this style, and I now completely understand the idea behind it. Firstly, the uneven foam is actually quite aesthetic, and it was moving for me to suddenly appreciate this making matcha one morning. There&apos;s a &quot;beautiful imperfection&quot; to pond style foam that fits very well within tea ceremony. Secondly, the mouthfeel of the tea really is different. I had never realized that foam, while beautiful, may in some ways <b>get in the way</b> of tasting the tea, whereas the low-foam style really allows you to get &quot;just&quot; the tea with each sip. Overall, while I still may slightly prefer the high-foam style just because it was what I was taught—and because I still think there&apos;s something miraculous about a bright green cap of perfect foam—I will probably be making the low-foam style quite often to appreciate its special charm. Certainly all matchas I buy will need to be tasted in both presentations... Thanks Tezumi for this enlightening video.

  I really appreciate your calm, straight-to-the-point but definitely not boring style of videos. In the todays youtube world, which is in style occupied mostly by more of TikTok style videos - lots of cuts, colors, music, shoats etc. for most dopamin stimulus. But I hate it so much! :D And I am very happy that someone who wants to stay coherent in style with actual content of himself.
