  not to mention that adc items cost 300-500 gold more than mage items, builds by oompa-loompa components and gives less stats

  Once upon a time, the core idea was that mages would be strong early to mid, but AD would be needed to damage structures and outscale everything in late game. Similar to how things were in DotA.<br><br>Then Riot added crazy AP scalings and even added an AP scaling to auto attacks against turrets...<br><br>Ranged AD characters basically only existed so the enemy couldn&apos;t solely itemise for magic resist for much of LoL&apos;s history, not because they were actually any good.<br><br>A full bruiser-mage botlane and the extinction of range AD feels like it was LoL&apos;s destiny all along.

  Imo something people dont mention enough is how theres no real good mr option for ads cause hexdrinker builds into a bruiser item and then the other option is qss which is more situational
