  Dum Dum and Brick are probably the &quot;nicest&quot; Maelstromers in Night City, &nbsp;if DumDum dies, his epitaph is &quot;He gave you a huff when no one else would.&quot;, and if Brick dies his is &quot;He left behind more friends than enemies.&quot;.

  Maelstrom is such an iconic part of the lore. I think while a lot of the RPG is pondsmith taking ideas straight from the genre, Maelstrom is his biggest contribution to it.

  And then V. will proceed to build up himself as more chromed up terrifying killing machine than any Maelstrom gang member. And with black wall upgrades V. is closer to eldritch horror than human. He should have shrine somewhere in Maelstrom holdings by the end of the game.
