  Love your videos and perspective on things... I dated my Colombian wife on line for 11 months and then spent 6 months living here before I decided to move here and propose... and in all that time I knew she was genuine and sincere, not once did she mention getting a visa, or a gren card or coming to the US... she loves her family and her country, and I hit the lottery in fate uniting our lives!!

  Nice vid Matt, in fact, as you said, meeting real people is key. Best places to do so are taking Spanish classes, dance classes, hiking clubs, painting classes, church seminars, hobbies clubs, always small groups, ideally. No apps, no night clubs, no bars

  Yes, it is true, i had an uncle in Bucaramanga. He was a retired engineer and college professor. He was divorced but living with his girlfriend for 3 years and when he passed way the girlfriend inherited everything his retirement money, properties  and cars. My family was very upset but is the law.

  The "mi amor" thing I think also happens in some parts of england, where people call each other "love" instead of the american "buddy, pal, bro, etc"

  When your colombian girlfriend tells you need better clothes, you're doing it right. The other thing I do is say how expensive everything is… I make sure they see I feel their pain too.
