My wife is from Bogotá (we live in Miami). My wife's relatives live in Nariño Sur neighborhood (estrato 3), close to Policarpa, Ciudad Berna, and Ciudad Jardín. I have become well acquainted with the area, and like it very much. It's walking distance, or a short Uber drive, to 20 de Julio and Restrepo. If we move to Bogotá it would be to that area.  Being Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 and a native Spanish speaker I blend in much easier than regular US expats.  Viva Colombia carajo!

I've been waiting on this video. It did not disappoint. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and honesty sharing your thoughts. That's what we need. I feel like I'm cheating on Uruguay which has been at the top of my list for a while, but we aren't in a relationship. Bogotá just walked by and I'm breaking my neck looking back at her!

I grew up in estrato 2! Now I am living in Miami in a super nice house. It took me years and years of education through merit based scholarships to get here. I really got excellent education at The National University of Colombia. 🇨🇴 education is the way for poor people like me! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thanks for a great video! As a senior thinking of moving to Bogota, you just gave me some great ideas of where to land.

I would recommend the gated communities between Bosque Medina and Bosque de Pinos in the cerros orientales; they are very safe and peaceful, ideal for families.

Proximity to a jumbo is most certainly a feature. Especially that one!

I really enjoy Quinta Camacho (I call it the Zona U) and also Zona G in Chapinero Alto.  Really nice restaurants.

I live in Polo Club. You just cross the autopista Norte and you are in Virrey and Chicó. So I enjoy the benefits of those neighborhoods without paying much.
