Which of these quiet flexes have you recognized in someone who never seemed to be trying❓

My best friend never said she was frequently employed by the opera... as a pronounciation teacher. <br>Nor did she flaunt her illnesses. Nor her personal tragedies. Not until she came to trust me, and then, for each if these, chose a moment when it might help me, and ordinary words. <br>I just can't stop admiring her.

I mostly notice when they are asked ‘what did you all do this past weekend?’ They answer as in the smallest most vague response “oh we went to the shore house. It was very enjoyable.”

I will never be a plain wardrobe person. I’m not necessarily a trend chaser but a beautiful scarf, a Venetian glass necklace or just a pop of colour adds a touch of fun to the day. <br>Am totally with you on all of the rest. Flexing about who you know or anything else is awful

OMG, my friend, I am so proud of myself. We just had car week in Monterey California a few weeks ago. We ran into so many celebrities and I flexed! 💪 I just smiled at them like, I recognize you but I am going to give you your space and enjoy the car shows. One imparticular just winked at me. And that was my awww moment, saw me, we made eye contact and I gave him a smile. That's all, no pictures no omg.....

I have shirts and pants on rotation in my closet. Every shirt can be worn with all pants. Grab and go. No thought required.

Oh, I didn't expect that. Love my uniform and the dress for special occasions.

A guide to ultimate coolness? Absolutely. But honestly, it’s just as much a warning on how not to be cool. Brilliant video, Martina, ty! This actually gives everyone an objective checklist to assess themselves? It might sound obvious, but I’ve been doing a major self-refresh over the past few months - I can see how things have changed so much for the better. Funnily enough, doomscrolling and constant phone checking have never been my thing - I normally find the events unfolding around way more stimulating. I won't over-explain, because the video speaks for itself perfectly. <br>The best parts of someone’s character really will shine through when they adopt this adopt And tbh, if the people around you don't notice, they might not be worth the energy anyway. It makes me wonder how many of us realize that this whole thing is actually about building up internal self-worth - doing it for yourself, I mean, not for the audience approval. (Or am I totally off-track? It makes perfect sense in my head, haha!)<br>[Also, I am fascinated with your avatar’s rotating outfits. That pendant gave me an idea. A longer chain paired with a deep V-neck is the perfect excuse for someone's gaze to drift, right? If you’ve got the attributes, why not drop the excuse for a potential suitor? My ex-husband used to explain away his wandering eyes whenever we spoke - which, even after marriage, was actually quite charming. When I’d joke about him losing focus, he’d swear it was just a guy thing. He claimed men's eyes just go on autopilot of their own volition - that one needed to be man to understand. He used a slightly different analogy, but I think some kinds might watch your videos, and possibley read the comments. I bet you didn't expect a tiny pendant to unlock that core memory, did you Martina! ♥]

I used to wear the same black slacks, white shirt, black tie, and shoulder boards with gold stripes. Finally graduated to "relaxed business" but not too casual. It was easy to know what the day's dress was going to be. I get a chuckle out of the people who spot a celebrity and then feel that a selfie or proximity somehow make them famous. Cell phone? Just needs to do what I need it to do. I agree with you on limited details that aren't really germaine to the conversation, particularly among strangers. I think it shows a need for validation. When you are content with yourself, the rest isn't necessary. I hope your weekend went well. 🌹🍸👨🏼✈ Excellent presentation!

I dress mainly for comfort and function (though I do tend to stick to a few favorite colors) but I will 'dress up' for a more formal occasion/event (as much for respect to the host as anything else), I don't announce my CV to people I meet, and there's nothing I love more than being underestimated -- it gives me a chance to see people's personality as it really is: how they treat people who they think can do nothing for them or to them. I'm mostly a nobody (and that's totally fine with me), but I do have some disposable income, though I'm allergic to trends at a proportional rate to how 'hot' they currently are, have zero interest in being a "hipster", and enjoy being anonymous as possible most of the time. I believe that there's nothing more of an antithesis to 'cool' than trying to be cool. Love your channel and insights! <3

That's exactly why I skipped the orange iPhone! When I saw all influencers have it, I knew it wasn't for me.
