  I learnt quite some things, thank you!! &nbsp;I am a tall curvy size 16 (GB) apple shape with short waist, and find it really REALLY! difficult to look ‘elegant’ - even when I still was a size 12 (in my ‘hey days’)!<br>Most blouses &amp; dresses I buy I have to take to the seamstress for tucks &amp; darts, and/ or to make longer - which makes things even more expensive.<br>Wrap tops and wrap dresses drive me nuts, because they are supposed to really flatter my body shape, but NEVER quite flatter me!!! I think this is because the breast part is simply not cut large enough??<br>Fashion for women is made for flat-breasted size 8s… why do fashion designers and haute couture get away with this??!!?

  I love these ideas. I can create new outfits from things I already own. Tonal column easy. 3/4 sleeves easily done. Straight leg trouser probably have some. Wear Trench coat more fashionably done. Fine knit sweaters I already have some to try. Open long unstructured jacket, wrap dress, boat necklines are something to look for. I&apos;m 86 and ready to lose some frump. Thanks so much for these insights.

  I live in cropped blazers. A long line one draws attention to how big my goalie butt is, so none of my cropped blazers have the tag still on—they draw the eye up to my face because they blend in with whatever I have on the bottom, and highlight the oval neck white tops I wear under them. . . Whaaat, bias cut skirts went away after 1939? You must be very young, or you’d remember the bias cut plaid skirts we wore everywhere in the 70s. And yes, I am an ice hockey goalie in my 60s. I’ve built up my glutes to 45 inches and my quads to 25 inches, which is why I despise belts because I can’t sit down with one of them on because of the difference between my waist and hips. On my 5ft 2 frame, a belt just draws attention to how short I am. (Um, my mom wore shapeless shifts before the wrap dress. It’s called a moo moo and it’s Hawaiian.)

  Problem with boat neck is that the bra straps inevitably creep up and are in display. &nbsp;Even if you pin the strap to the shirt, it simply creeps up with the shirt and wrinkles the neckline. If anyone has a fix for this, I&apos;d like to hear it.

  My problem is finding the clothes in the style I am looking for (and within budget). Even when I do find it, it&apos;ll be out of stock since many brands consider &quot;inclusive sizing&quot; to be a marketing tool rather than reality (old navy) and may only manufacture a handful of pieces compared to the tens of thousands in std sizes.
