  When you plan on a dealership visit, bring people with you that have had experience before; if you go alone you’ll be broke leaving the building. Dealerships are notorious, I mean NOTORIOUS, for their tricks on customers financing their vehicles. That’s why they always pressure any customer into financing, never paying full cash. They’ll make it so difficult to know the out the door price, understanding that your down payment is just covering the dealer’s fees for the bank not going toward your loan at all. Their tricks are designed to get as much money from the customer’s wallet as possible as dealerships are loan brokers not sellers.

  My husband bought a new 22 Jeep summit large size 75k with a trade in of 17,000k. This was December 21. The payment was 900 a month. We could have purchased cash but he didn't want to take anything out of investment. I paid it off in 2 years because I hate the idea of a car payment. I was the one sending in the car note so I upped every payment. I think the largest was 7,000 k one month. We purchased our 2 nice but below our income level homes cash and the 30+ acres of pasture land we own. My husband does very well but I just hated that car payment.  I drive a 19 Hyundai Santa Fe my mom just gave me last year because she bought her new Honda Passport for cash. My point is is these people need to drive a used vehicle for about 3-4 hundred a month. They are car salesmen. Everyone wants to be a baller these days. My mom is pretty well off and frugal so she was kind enough to gift me her car instead of me buying something. We gave my stepson the car I was driving, 2010 Audi. It was a good car my husband bought off of a client for 9k cash. We don't need fancy cars!!!! Live below your means.

  If you think that all of &nbsp;these car sales people are paying those high payment, &nbsp;you &apos;re not that bright. They&apos;re trying to make those payments look cool/normal to get people in the door.
