  I have always houseruled that harvesting the big eye of the beholder can lead to the production of a potion of beauty because, as we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  Next character idea: a beholder that dreamt itself into a human (wizard). Goal is to get the wish spell to turn itself back. Maybe along the way, they learn that their dream was manipulated to make them human. Pretty neat idea, I think.

  Imagine having a PC&apos;s backstory be that they were dreamed up into reality by a sleeping Beholder and managed to live on.<br>Maybe some sorcerer or a bard who puts on a braggart attitude and tells of their past in such a way that no sane person would believe it.<br><br>&quot;My mother was a Beholder and my father was Gruumsh! From the day I was born, I was weaned by an ancient White Dragon within the chill depths of the Spine of The World! A passing Gith ship carried me away to train with their best when I came of age and by the pleading of Illmater was I returned back to this world so that my strength could alleviate the suffering of man!&quot;

  Hello again, i have some important infromations that I shared on your previous video about beholders.<br>I&apos;ll copy it here so that others which have not seen the previous video can still access these informations.<br><br>An important thing for beholders is Vellurith:<br><br>Vellurith is a game of power with a set number of precise rules that each beholder actively knows and plays.<br>For them it is a game. Anything they do is a competition.<br><br>An example is the following:<br>In the game of Vellurith, a beholder can &quot;win&quot; by conquering or making a kingdom crumble.<br><br>The game of Vellurith is made by the great mother herself (if i remember correctly), and it is the &quot;lawful&quot; part of the lawful evil alignment.<br>Vellurith is their code and their game, and other races can theoretically partake in it too.<br><br>Another important, yet unknown fact to most:<br>Every beholder&apos;s true purpose is being literal dispensers of knowledge, a goal they can achieve by climbing a mountain in space called &quot;The Spindle&quot; by following a certain path only they can see.<br>This will literally imprint in their minds any and all informations in the universe.<br><br>Large Luigi, a sane beholder, is one among the few that has climbed and achieved it&apos;s goal.<br>Result of this achievement? Other beholders ostracized him and made him go away, lest they killed him. Reason for which now you can find Large Luigi in the Rock of Bral managing his tavern (if i remember correctly), called the &quot;Laughing Beholder&quot;.

  My favorite description of a Beholder is that it&apos;s creators came up with the most Lovecraftian monster they could think of, then gave it the personality of the actual HP Lovecraft.

  It&apos;s so wild and yet, so obvious that none of the ways in which Beholders reproduce involves their willingness to do it, because of course a Beholder wouldn&apos;t want more Beholders out in the world. Almost like their own evolution is aware of their rampant xenophobia
