Really stupid. You may be able to fool the idiots on YouTube, but you have not fooled me. You failed me as a viewer. You failed the rest of your audience. That cavity is tiny and even the mallet ends themselves are not filled with the tungsten shot. So you're lying to us. And the bronze itself is not even that light in order to accentuate the effect and velocity and stock velocity of the dead bolt hammer. You did a pitiful job. You let all of us down, very obviously, even though you're trying to deceive us if that's not the case, but most importantly of all you let yourself down and don't think for a second that I'm fucking fooled by it. Because I know you haven't fooled yourself despite your best efforts to you know it's Pathetically below your true capability level.

Pretty sure you'd get even better results with smaller beads too, better stacking of the tungsten and less bounce from larger ball bearings

My grandfather used to have an ancient dead blow hammer that was filled with shot and oil. I've never seen another like it, I think he brought it home from the Army.

I am flabberghasted! Someone finally realized that designing and printing sprues and gates into the part is way simpler than adding them after the fact!

Could you make a solid copper ice cream scoop? I'm curious whether the thermal conductivity would be able to take the heat from your hand and make for easier scooping.

Okay, foundry engineer speaking, I have some comments about your foundry :
1) Your problem that you called cold shot is actually miss run. It's because the metal has to compete a to long distance, or is to cold, or doesn't flow quick enough (or all of that together, obviously). Cold shot appaer when the pouring is stop, then goes back, so you clearly see 2 separated zones on the part (ok, this definition is of the french name "goutte froide", literally "cold drop", but I think it's the same thing).
2) Your gares look good, but it's not needed to have them on the 2 parts of the mold, only on the lower side if enough, even better.
3) Behind the gates, the canal looks absolutely massive. It could be way more littler.
4) The canal is to far from the part to actually absorb all the shrinkage porosity. To absorb the porosity, you need a proper riser.

But the results looks great (thank the welding)!

Hope that my English in understandable!

Dude, holding the bolt with a magnet and the articulating arm was brilliant!
