Loved my At-15's i had in the 80's.

Looks good! A brown alcohol marker from Micheals works pretty good on the damaged veneer corners to cover up or hide the light areas.

Wish I lived closer - would love to meet ya and discuss Vega's ... I love them and have loved all your videos. Thank you for the work!
If my 217Rs weren't so heavy I would ship them to you and have you restore them. Again thanks for your work!

I know this is an old video, but that foam gasket that you keep removing from the speakers/tweeters is meant to create an air seal for the cabinet.

Removing that gasket behind the tweeter will allow air to seep in or out when the speaker is playing, which can alter the sound.

Nice job! I love the unique front cover. Got me some DC 12 now.. Years back I had the DC 1515, but they need to much space and are hard to get or to expensive 😅.

I've always just used tung oil or Danish oil. It's one step apply and polish I always use triple 000 or 00 steel wool. Restore a finish is pretty good. It's an okay replacement for the best stuff that got banned. It was called Gillespie's Antique Restorer. It was great. The best wipe on (always with steel wool) refinish type product that was available. It would melt into many cabinets finishes.

If I wasn't going to sand, but I would sand since there's no reason to not sand the cabinets If you're restoring us set a speakers unless they are in perfect condition otherwise it's simple and only takes a little time. Tung oil is the classic and easy finish.

I've also always used good spray glue when doing grill covers. Make them just like the factory did.
