This is a perfect example of a dying species hybridizing to gain adaptability to adapt to a new environment

I am off grid and live next to a pack of coyotes.  They are hyper intelligent and kind of friendly, but as a distance

One very possible mix for the Coywolf is the ancient Red Wolf which was considered extinct, but scientists have discovered many coyote red wolf mix descendants in the Appalachians near PA, WV, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, KY, etc. These coyote red wolf mix may migrate into NE states then mixed with eastern grey wolves. They have the wits. adaptivity,  endurance of coyote, and the size strength of eastern wolf with the ancient red wolf gene which made them the best suited survivor of city suburbs next to big forests or deserts.  They are moving into the big vacancy of Rocky Mountains then into the west coasts. I have seen them in SC, TN, TX, NM and now in CA west coast counties.  After they mixed with the smaller western coyotes, these migrated Coywolves are near the size of Husky dogs but some are as big as Akita dog.  I have seen them in Riverside, San Diego and LA counties.  In 20 years, Coywolf will be the true unique American wolf/coyote from the east to west coasts, a national canine, a symbol like the bald eagle.  🤔🤨😉😎

This is the exact mechanism used by nature to create explosively rapid evolution

Absolutely ridiculous to make it seem as recent news when it's from 2007!!

When I go to run early in the morning, I can see coyotes in the middle of the city near the running trails. They are growing, now they have the size of a Husky. They are still scare of humans.

Down in mexico, the coyote hybrids cross with the Mexican wolf too!

They think the domestic dog dna is coding for behaviors that make the hybrids less fearful of humans, allowing them to better exploit humans and the urban environments created by humans vs canines with no domestic dog dna mixed in! Incredible

Im doing my own personal research on hybrids right now. Altering both nuDNA ratios, and testing out all forms of mtDNA to study  mitonuclear interactions = interactions between the nuclear and mitochondrial dna. Its very fascinating and i can easily see how if you cram enough genetic diversity into 1 lifeform, you can create a lifeform with the ability to spawn 400 or more highly specialized "species". This research is based on fish where a single hybrid got into a lake and varying by who you ask spawned 400-900 different highly specialized species!
