Dr Leo is why I got into beekeeping...now I have 11 colonies with most in horizontal hives that I built with his free plans!

I got a tip: spin the drill backwards counterclockwise . It will still cut. You will get perfect hole and not damage to the aluminum. I do it on all kinds of materials.. Nice video.

I just participated in Dr. Leo’s class this March and I had such a great experience. If anyone is interested in learning how to keep 🐝 the natural way he is the ultimate resource. He and his family are welcoming and so knowledgeable 🤔. And on top of that ALL the proceeds from his classes go into saving 🐝 and providing them with the most amazing sanctuary. I really can’t say enough about my experience!

I did an experiment of putting black shapes on the front of a line of hives similar in colour. above the entrance.<br>The bees identified squares, triangles, oblongs, stars and circles and landed on them and walked down to the entrance.

Rust--Oleum, (sure there's other brands as well), makes a "Marine Spar Varnish" with a UV Inhibitor that may make your lovely print last even longer and fade slower.

I also know that bees are attracted to colors, I’ve seen times where they completely covered the seat on a John Deere tractor that was yellow but left the green alone, I’m sure different colors mean different things to them and has something to do with identifying flowers and all that butI’m sure in some respects either recognize or start to identify the color with the hive like they were with flowers or anything else
