  As someone who struggles with mental illness these people are my worst nightmares. Like what if I went to a psychic while I had mania would they egg on my delusions? It’s fucking terrifying

  My mom has gone to psychics for decades. One time she went and they told her my grandpa her dad was in hell and he needed her to forgive him to let him out and she was like “no, stay there” 😂 they weren’t expecting that you could tell.

  my dad recently visited me and was like RAVING about this psychic he found out that knew all about him, only to then casually mention said psychic had already had several &quot;sessions&quot; with his sister, so she obviously knew a lot about him and his life through her. i momentarily considered paying a homage to the self immolating monks of the Tibetan temples, setting myself ablaze in a political protest that will at last affirm my legacy

  There was a brief period in my life where I got really into tarot and palm reading, and I did it as like, a fundraising gimmick for my school programs. After doing a reading for a woman at an annual dinner-and-show fundraiser my show choir did, she cornered me after the show and started excitedly telling me that my reading changed her life, she was going to quit her job and had so many plans I had just reassured her of. It wasn&apos;t even a good reading, I hadn&apos;t memorized the cards and their meanings yet, I was constantly referencing my kitschy HOW 2 TAROT book from Barnes and Noble, and I got so freaked out and upset by the thought that I had just convinced one of my friend&apos;s aunts or something to quit her job during a recession that I quit Tarot entirely.
