  Having seen all these pictures when first released all were well received and definitely not overlooked at the time. Nearly all found substantial audiences. Who’ll Stop the Rain, Night Moves, and Charley Varrick were hits, and Alice Does’t Live Here Anymore was a big hit. That said, if this video leads these movies to be discovered by younger viewers looking for substantial and well made movies instead of the modern claptrap then kudos to all involved.

  The only reason I saw Charley Varrick was because it was the second half of a double bill with The Sting. Unbelievably, some people actually left the theater when The Sting was over, but I’m glad I stuck around for Charley Varrick. I loved it. This was a Walter Matthau I’d never seen before, and every scene kept me guessing what was going to happen next. And pairing it with The Sting was a good, solid decision.

  Watched &nbsp;“ Charley &nbsp;Varrick “ &nbsp;with &nbsp;my &nbsp;Old &nbsp;Grandad &nbsp;one &nbsp;Xmas &nbsp;- &nbsp;we &nbsp;couldn’t &nbsp;believe &nbsp;how &nbsp;good &nbsp;was &nbsp;!
