  Optometry student here! This surgery works by tattooing pigment into your cornea, which is the clear part on top of your iris. Evolutionarily-speaking, the whole point of the cornea is to be CLEAR so that you can SEE THROUGH IT (which is why you don’t see any blood vessels in your eye once you’re on the iris!) and this dude is legit filling it with pigment that is going to hinder transparency and cause light scatter, which can make your vision worse, and that’s assuming that you don’t have to deal with any of the other corneal damage that can cause scarring and permanent vision loss! All that AND it looks terrible, for the low-low price of several months’ rent!

  Natural eyes are not one solid colour, they’re dozens of colours blended randomly together, like a woodgrain. &nbsp;These fake coloured eyes are solid, like the paint on a wall is a solid colour. &nbsp;They look unnatural and unattractive and fake..

  What strikes at me the most is the clear signs of displeasure these people are expressing in their faces as they talk about how much they &quot;love&quot; it. Their smiles dont reach their eyes, their mouths are turned downwards, scrunched chins, none of them look genuinely happy. Clearly they can see how terrible it looks, contact designs wouldnt have come so far if people were fine with using a solid color to change their eye color. If youre going to risk part of your body to have such a drastic cosmetic change, you should atle at be beaming with joy after, not looking like looking at yourself causing internal pain. Its all so sad.

  Some cosmetic surgery is too dangerous to be ethical and eye color changes should be on that list. It&apos;s wild that people are willing to risk permanent blindness for this. It&apos;s like purposely giving yourself a cataract.
