RIP<br>To the 25,000 Imperial French soldiers, 3,500 of the Duke of Wellington’s army soldiers, 1,144–1,200 Prussian army soldiers, and 7,000 horses (on both sides) who were killed in the Battle of Waterloo

It’s such a coincidence that Napoleon met his Waterloo at Waterloo…I mean, come on, what are the odds of that happening!?

As usual, the presence of a tall observation tower is omitted. Either French engineers built one, or the Dutch army had built it before the battle, but either way, a 36 metre tall tower with platforms was used by the French to observe Allied troop movements during the battle.

What is read about Waterloo was this final battle of the Napoleonic wars was the only battle where Wellington and Napoleon faced each other. Wellington have never been beaten, winning battle after battle against French forces in Spain. Blucher of Prussia, had a big personal score to settle with Napoleon himself, had Wellington&apos;s back the whole campaign despite the Prussian&apos;s defeat at Ligny, and Wellington retreating after Quatre Bras to make his stand at Waterloo confident that the Prussians will come to reinforce him advancing from Wavre, delaying Grouchy&apos;s 30,000 French troops ordered by Napoleon to pursue Bulucher to keep him from assisting Wellington. I read that lack of communication between Napoleon and his commanders eventually sealed his fate. Also, Wellington had the advantage: a year ago, he was on the exact future Waterloo battlefield and knew the ground and wisely choose this ground and the days leading to June 18, &nbsp;it was raining constantly. Napoleon waited too long for the ground to dry which will make it easier for his troops and artillery to move around effectively. The lost hours proved costly later

Good to see the comment section is full of people who know more about Napoleonic history than this group of academics and scholars, I’ll be looking forward to watching all of your documentaries in the coming weeks

Nobody ever mentions the fact that the French had heavy guns on the day. Heavier than wellingtons guns. Check it out !
