It is amazing that governments departments and organizations that are in place to be sure that buildings are safe due to nothing. But the investigation afterwards is pains, takingly detail in every aspect, and an angle of the cause.

Hawaii has to carefully review & learn from this disastrous incident. Much of our construction is exposed to moisture & salt. Considerations on proper design, maintenance, inspection, & the consequences of remodeling review needs to be an ongoing process.
