  I&apos;m an old school guy, and I get it. You guys have someone you grew up with as a favorite, but if you can&apos;t hear the difference and realize that Trucks has gone so much further than anyone else on slide guitar, you need your ears checked. There is also no other slide guitarist capable of absolutely slaying standard finger playing in open E like Trucks. He is a freak.

  I first saw Joe while he was still in high school. &nbsp;He played someplace in Greenwich Village, and I think his father drove him down from upstate New York. &nbsp;A friend of mine also from upstate got us to go, to I think The Bitter End. &nbsp;<br><br>Joe was a young phenom then. &nbsp;And, he has just gotten better. &nbsp;<br><br>I have not spoke to him since, but he was genuinely nice, as was his father. &nbsp;We had a short but nice conversation about some Blues. &nbsp;I have seen Joe play since. &nbsp;He still seems nice, and he can pretty much play what he wants. &nbsp;<br><br>Thanks for this video.

  You are so modest that it&apos;s contagious. Even if you play 1 note the way you dig in to get the &quot;Tone&quot; is the real talent, you make it sound the way it would sound on a 50s/60s/70s etc recording. Experimenting with Electric Guitars should be mandatory in Music classes...after all that&apos;s what brought them to life in the first place.More vids please!

  There&apos;s Duane Allman then there&apos;s everyone else..... I&apos;m old enough to have seen him play three times before he passed.....sure miss those boys <br>Lowell George was pretty good and so was Ry Cooder.....hold the slide over the fret for the best intonation
