When the whole eastern grid went down in the early 2000s we lost water after only 25-30 minutes from the water tower which is only 2 neighborhoods away. So ,you have to act fast. Have stack of clean buckets and lids that you keep near your wash tub and a short hose to fill them. But before you start on this you'll want to start filling your bathtub
