  Biggest problem in Kenya is not even poor fixtures but workmanship, l have a habit of inspecting tiles in these fancy buildings and you will be surprised how most are done jua kali.  To the point am convinced there are no pro tilers in Kenya and if they are there then they rare kabisa. 99% of rental properties in Kenya yes l said 99% are poorly done because we don't have strict building codes in this part of the world.

  This was insightful. <br><br>Also, as a personal preference, I HATE it when the washroom is right next to a kitchen. That cannot be hygienic.

  Biggest problem in Kenya is greediness by investors. That House looks horrible and very tiny for those millions of money.

  I bought one of these Chinese &nbsp;apartments off-plan. After I saw how it was being finished, I stepped in to supervise. Still, the worker&apos;s are underpaid so they do very shoddy work. Sockets not working, door locks not working etc. I ended up using fundis from outside whom I had to pay. The indoor pool is leaking after only 6 months. Don&apos;t recommend as they are so overpriced. 😢

  I&apos;m glad you&apos;re highlighting this issue of shortcuts and the mistakes builders do in Kenya. I see a lot of construction mistakes they do, It&apos;s very disappointing.

  I was in the proces of watching snake videos fra SA. when, somehow, this video/channel popped up.<br>I am Scandinavian but live on and off in Kenyan since 2012.<br>I never bought but always rent an apartment and I mainly stay in coast.<br><br>I just watched a walk-through of what could have been any of my apartments that I have lived in (and the reason why I quickly gave up on buying or building anything).<br>The workmanship, to me as a Northern European, is generally substandard in Kenya. And people around me thinks I am fuzzy when I get p*sed over a lamp not hanging in the centre of a ceiling, nothing being level, neither horizontally or vertically, cheap fittings in bathroom, plastic toilets and the tilework.<br><br>So it is nice to see that there are actually Kenyans who notice these things.<br>And btw, none of my apartments were Chinese made. Alt built by Kenyans.<br><br>S

  That&apos;s why I can never buy anything in Nairobi. &nbsp;I build mine with class and quality. &nbsp;It&apos;s appalling, people are carnival in money 😢

  The finishing and the poor workmanship is extremely concerning. Paint all over the place is one of my pet peeves.

  My worry is the whole structure of the building. I hope they don&apos;t cut corners because a building collapse would be devastating 😢
