  I almost joined the Army in 92 but the recruiter said I had flat feet. Should have the Marines. 53 now. My late Father was in Vietnam while in the Navy then after joining the Army in the 80s. RIP Dad.

  So, I&apos;m probably dating myself by asking this, but when did the MREs stop coming with cigarettes? In the 80s they came with 3 packs of Marlboro Reds. Imagine unsuspecting Scout leaders who didn&apos;t know and handed them out on camping trips trying to round those back up ...good times! Thanks for your channel! There&apos;s always something good to be learned in each video.

I would like to see a video of your entire old military surplus collection, &nbsp;it looks like you have quite a bit of stuff...i collect surplus myself and enjoy seeing other peoples collections.   You are my all-time favorite YouTuber and I&apos;ve been watching you for years. These old school military videos inspired me to use the harness butt pack system for my day hiking/ fishing kit. It has been perfect. I always have a military poncho with me too. Thank you.

  I only used a tent once in field training exercises, in basic we carried these shelter halves and never used them. I embraced the suck and I’ve never had it so bad since then, lol. Grateful.

  Set up and slept in a shelter half once at Parris Island and once at SOI.<br>Carried them a bunch in the fleet <br><br>Got the two man tent system and stayed in that exactly once <br><br>Was in from April 99 to 2011.<br><br>0311
