  Revisiting this 2 years later and it feels like you really nailed everything about how dystopian the launch of this was.  I find it quite funny how the vision quest has gone no where and is basically a dead product at the same time Facebook is finally admitting their metaverse was a wet fart and no one wants to use either of them.  Everyone should feel schadenfreude when megacorps fail.  You make such great videos Eddy, thank you.

  I love Drew’s commitment to rambling for the entire picnic skit despite everything happening in front of him. I guess realistically talking for hours on end while nobody’s listening is a skill YouTubers have to develop but I wonder if he ended up pivoting from sports at some point in that endless recording

  For the love of God, do NOT consult an AI lawyer. Real lawyers are already getting in trouble for using AI and not fact-checking it, if that gives you any idea of how unreliable it is.

  The scary part for me was the description Eddy gave about the isolation and dissociation the vision pro gave him, because as someone with a dissociative disorder that feeling of isolation from the world and people around me is just what I experience on a daily basis. The future goggles gave Eddy a simulated dissociative disorder. Can’t/don’t want to imagine someone like me using this thing.

  as a person who constantly opens tabs and forgets about them, there are some horrific implications to being able to leave tabs scattered around my house. like what if i open the hall closet for the first time in a while and i find out youtube autoplay has been going down a rabbit hole in the dark for a week.

  It was only 18 months ago? It feels like years ago that Apple released these goggles. Like they&apos;re so far out of date and so little discussed and even less seen that surely they came out in 2020 or 2021 right? Not just last year. They died off THAT fast that they made me lose temporal awareness? Damn
