[다큐3일★하이라이트] 삶의 끝에 서 있는 당신, 이대로 보낼 수 없다 | “살려야 한다- 한강 수난구조대 72시간” (KBS 210725 방송)

Documentary 3 Days (Sundays at 11:05 PM, KBS 2TV) “Must Save – 72 Hours of the Han River Water Rescue Team” According to the Seoul Fire & Disaster Headquarters, the total number of dispatches by the Han River Water Rescue Team last year was 2,509, an increase of approximately 20% compared to the previous year (1,600). Of these, dispatches due to extreme choices, such as jumping into the river, accounted for 4,519 out of 6,043 total dispatches over the past three years, representing 75%. Over 50% of all dispatches occur between Hangju Bridge and the Han River Railway Bridge, with Mapo Bridge having the highest number of dispatches (20.7%). The Yeouido Water Rescue Team, under the Seoul 119 Special Water Rescue Corps, covers the area between Hangju Bridge and the Han River Railway Bridge. Among the four water rescue teams on the Han River, it has the highest number of dispatches and is working tirelessly to protect the lives and safety of citizens in danger. This week’s Documentary 3 Days joins the Yeouido Water Rescue Team, who fiercely protect the Han River with an unwavering sense of duty. ■ Protect the Han River Detecting abnormal signs and responding quickly are key factors in dispatching to incidents involving suicide attempts. The Yeouido Water Rescue Team’s jurisdiction covers approximately 17.4 km, stretching from the Han River Railway Bridge to the Hangju Bridge. To ensure rapid response and accident prevention within this vast area, three professional CCTV operators and rescue team members closely monitor 104 closed-circuit CCTVs installed on the Seogang Bridge and Mapo Bridge to respond to suicide attempts. ■ To You Standing at the Edge of Life When the dispatch bell rings, the Han River Water Rescue Team arrives at the scene of the incident in less than five minutes. The annual average number of suicide attempts across all Han River bridges in Seoul is approximately 486, and the survival rate over the past five years has exceeded 96%. Thinking of the citizens who will return to their families by grasping the hands the rescuers extend, the team members run today. ■ Until the Last Moment The Han River keeps even professionally trained rescuers on edge. The waters of the Han River are heavily affected by the weather, making search operations difficult with an average visibility of only 50cm. To descend to deeper waters and rescue citizens even in critical situations, rescuers conduct underwater search training when there are no actual rescue operations. During training, they sometimes face the perilous situations that could occur at a real rescue site. ■ You Are Not Alone “Life is precious, isn’t it? I believe there is nothing more precious than saving a single life.” – Jeong Yun-tae, Team Leader of Team 1, Yeouido Water Rescue Team The wish of the members of the Yeouido Water Rescue Team is for people to simply look at the scenery of the Han River and return home. This is because there would be no lingering memories of people the members could not save, no need to rush out to rescue operations while eating a late-night snack, and no instances of losing a young child at their fingertips. Until the day everyone who comes to see the Han River returns home smiling. The story of the members of the Yeouido Water Rescue Team who stake their lives on the safety of citizens. ※ Watch popular full videos from [Documentary 3 Days] In the Name of Mother - 72 Hours at Gwangju Infant Temporary Shelter Video A Record of 3 Days in the Bitter Cold at the GOP [다큐3일📸] ★살기 위해 눈을 치운다★ 단 2%에게만 허락된 GOP 생활 ... 72 Hours at Beomeosa Temple in Busan [다큐3일★풀버전] 행복하십니까? 동안거에 들어간 부산 범어사 스님들의 마음...
