I absolutely hated it when they rebranded Opal Fruits to Starburst. The jingle "Opal Fruits, made to make your mouth water" was indelibly inked in the consciousness of generations. Changing Marathon to Snickers also annoyed a lot of people, myself included.

I loved being a kid being able to buy penny goodies. Putting them in the bag yourself and the shopkeeper trusting you not to be dishonest.

I never saw sherbet lemons individually wrapped before, they were always sold loose from a big jar.
