As a cellist and cello teacher, I experimented with the StringVision Bow Grip myself for about 6 months, and in doing so, I lost a lot of my hand strength  (although it only took about a week to reorient myself). With these bow grips, the only thing I would be concerned with is losing sensitivity to the bow's vibrations itself -- for anyone curious, I could post a short video on my page about bow hold and what exactly this means. Great video! 💚

Hi Billy - I am a 62 yr old cellist who suffers from bone spurs and arthritis in both hands.  I have played classical piano since I was young.  I used the Stringvision Bow grip but didn’t get nearly as much relief as I got from my recent purchase of the Wada Cello Bow Grip.  It’s life changing!!!  Highly recommend for those it’s repetitive motion injuries in hands or arthritis.  Thanks for the video!!!

The Wada was recommended by my teacher. I’m finding it to be very helpful and is helping me relax my original death grip. Now, if I can quit strangling the neck with my left hand, I’ll be making some progress.

Wow, I am a 58 year old beginner that gets repetitive injuries and so have painful thumbs. I didn't even know that these existed, I'm off to buy one right now. Thank you so so much . Jen, New Zealand

Thank you, Billy, for the suggestion of the Wada Bow Grip… it transformed my bow grip and ended the pain! I am an adult cello learner at the very beginning of my journey and the hand pain was very discouraging… your suggestion saved my bow hold development! Thank you again!!!!😊

Thank you so much, Billy, for going in-depth with the bow grips. This video was extremely helpful and thorough in explaining the pros and cons for each. I have an online young student I was trying to figure out which would currently best be suited for his bow grip. I went with the Wada.

I have very dry hands and arthritis in my fingers and thumbs. I use the string vision on my bows. Using the relaxed flexible hold that is needed, I drop my bow and struggle to keep hold of it without the grip. I have also tried the simple rubber tubing that is not nearly as comfortable. Thank you for the comparison.

I played while at school. Now I've started again but I have mild arthritis and thought I'd have to quit but this looks promising

I found the Stringvision useful since my thumb was often sliding under (so annoying)
