  Don&apos;t miss another aspect of Violet&apos;s growth: in the cave while she and Dash hide, she&apos;s <i>practicing</i> the skill that she wasn&apos;t ready with on the plane. Without anyone telling her. Without asking. Girl has taken ownership.

  I even love how superheroes in this film are portrayed in a very vulnerable way and they are far from being invincible in this world

  I remember the commentary mentioned that they weren&apos;t going to show Violet failing to make that forcefield, but they realized that they had to show her trying.

  another scene I don&apos;t think get talked about enough is the cave scene. Where Helen tells the kids that these bad guys aren&apos;t like the ones on TV, and that they can easily kill them because they&apos;re children. I love how she doesn&apos;t sugar-coat anything and just gives it to them straight.

  Reminder that Violet didn’t know her family’s supersuits are missile and bullet proof. Between the lack of hesitation and “I don’t know!” line, she was instinctively going to sacrifice herself for her little brother.

  Also worth mentioning, Bob didn’t know Jack Jack was at home with the sitter, he just heard “there are children aboard.” As far as he was aware, Jack Jack was on the plane too

  Don’t forget Helen clearly didn’t remember her suit was missile proof. She was probably certain she was gonna die but didn’t care as long as her kids were safe.

  A really neat detail about Violet&apos;s hair is that it&apos;s Helen that pushes one side of Violet&apos;s hair back, finally showing that she appreciates and accepts Violet&apos;s powers. And that is what gives Violet the strength to push the other side back, accepting *herself*.
