The real twist is that Syndrome was always a Supe. His power was his intelligence but he never realized it as a super power.

If you think about it, the incredibles through bob's perspective is really tragic. Just imagine you made lots of cool friends in your glory days, and after 15 years. you find out that all your friends are dead at the hands of someone you thought that you were protecting.

They say that the best revenge is to live well. And if Buddy had embraced that idea, he could have legitimately become one of the greatest heroes that the world had ever seen. His technology could have fundamentally changed the entire world for the better and earned him the respect and recognition he'd always craved. But he just couldn't let go of his grudge.

A child rejected by its village will burn it to feel its warmth. Or something like that

Syndrome use to scare me as a kid because most of the old pixar villain were no where near as relatable and terrifying.

“He’s out of line, but he’s right”

The scariest thing a writer can do, and I’m surprised practically no other writer has figured this out, is make the villain right or at least logical.

The good ol days of Disney not shying away from hardcore Writing. Even Syndrome’s death was so brutal despite not technically showing it. Disney would never show stuff like that nowadays

This is why Evelyn Deavor didn't work and was forgotten while people still talk about Syndrome 22 years later. I miss when Pixar was good.
