Canada is lucky to have you both. Thank you Dr Beck for another insightful podcast. Thank you Dr Sukhina for taking a chance on Canada. I have every confidence you will thrive here. Canada is a compassionate empathetic country and you exude those traits. You are going to thrive just as our beloved Dr Beck (and family) are thriving. I can’t wait to hear the next couple episodes. Thank you once again Dr Beck for making these videos and providing this opportunity for everyone to share and cheer and support each other.

This is heart wrenching!😢 You're a gem, Dr. Sukhina and I'm glad you made it here. May you find peace in your heart, as we continue to pray for those who are unable to escape this ruthless US administration.🙏❤️🇨🇦

So many Canadians complain about our system because they take it for granted. They need to hear the experiences of your guests and you.

I don't think it hit me just how bad it is in the USA's healthcare system until I saw a recent feature on a Canadian football game. One of the coaches for Calgary has a teenage daughter in the US who was struck by a devastating illness. The family has United Healthcare coverage but have already had to sell their house and cars and had to start a GoFundMe. It's already cost them over $300,000 US. Their daughter is still very ill and now a Canadian retired Coach, Wally Buono, has started a GoFundMe up here. The family still needs to raise another $300,000 US because United Healthcare won't cover the next surgeries she still needs. She is unable to eat, she's in awful pain 24/7 and it broke my heart to hear her story. They are hoping CFL fans will help. So far Canadians have donated $130,000. It's just unfathomable to me what this family has had to go through. With all its faults, I am still so grateful to be a Canadian.

It is humbling and reassuring at the same time to discover that their are still talented, skilled professionals who still cherish other values beyond profit. We are so lucky to have you both ! Thanks for coming to Canada.

As a Canadian, I truly appreciate you and the other American doctors who are coming to Canada both for being here and for sharing your experiences. We are so frequently told how "bad" our system is: too few doctors, emergency backups, too few nurses etc. These are truly problems but when I was in need of medical attention, I received it in a very timely fashion. I had a cancerous tumor removed, followed by radiation and a heart issue that was also dealt with, including all the diagnostic tests and follow-up treatment. I felt, now and throughout my whole life, that I have been well cared for and it cost me nothing beyond what I pay in general taxes. Hearing about the medical issues in the US is a very big eye-opener.

I really appreciate your podcasts and guests. I worked 45 years as an allied health professional in BC. And I’m well aware that the Canadian system isn’t perfect. The stories shared by you and your guests should be eye openers for those who want to dismantle our system.
