  fun fact the reason your skin disappeared for some 1.7 versions was because there was an exploit where people could grab your IP address on servers just by having a custom player head places in their world. it was such a vulnerability that mojang just killed the skin servers for those versions

  man this brings back to many memories. after school run to the computer and make my 4 tree houses and 7 underground dwarf shacks. making friends and sharing my world with my mates. love you for this

  The reason the nether portal didn't work on Day 12 is that there were two obsidian in front of it. In early versions that confuses the game, so you can't light it. That's why the portal building strat is a bit different in early versions. Instead of placing one block in a 4 long strip of lava, you place one and then make an L shape in front of it, so no obsidian forms there.

  For anyone wondering why there is snow everywhere: <br><br>In the older updates there was a chance you would get a snow world. Were everything is snow. So when SB updated in the version Snow World were introduced, the game thought: “Oh hey, a world that has not gotten a chance to become Snowy. Lets make sure it at least gets a chance”. The game then “rolls the dices” and finds out that this world should become a snow world.<br><br>Edit: seems like I was wrong. It was prob cause of biome changes

  The reason why your spawn got frozen over and you had trouble finding animals in beta 1.8 is because all beta 1.7.3 worlds got corrupted when updating to beta 1.8. The biome data got wiped and new biome data was applied to your world as if it were generated in beta 1.8. If your world had been generated in beta 1.8, your spawn would have been a cold biome and next to it there would be a desert which is why no animals spawned on the grass. In beta 1.8 a thing called &quot;flag1&quot; got introduced in game code that made it so animals spawned 400 times slower too. In order to fix the biome corruption players would use an app called &quot;biome painter&quot; made for the purpose of adding back proper biome data to older regions generated prior to beta 1.8. Hope that helps.

  while you could have started in Infdev 20100327, you certainly made the right call with 20100420 as you&apos;ve skipped the torch/flower crash bug in 20100413.<br><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=549">9:09</a> your house is filled with animals because they spawn where ever there is light<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=624">10:24</a> right clicking whilst in the boat will allow you to dismount it. same goes for pigs with saddles.<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=1095">18:15</a> ghasts seem to spawn a heck of a lot more often in these older versions. even diamond armour won&apos;t save you here.<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=1112">18:32</a> you need 9 dust to craft one block of lightstone, it used to be a pain to get any usable amount of especially with all those ghasts.<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=1200">20:00</a> if you&apos;re curious, this is the version I started playing back in January 2011, but in more recent years I have played versions way older.<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=1745">29:05</a> the ice is melting because technically you are now in a desert.<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=1828">30:28</a> the XP is still counted in the player data, but the game didn&apos;t quite know how to display that yet. it did learn in 1.0.0 though.<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTx0MecaFHc&amp;t=2395">39:55</a> back in alpha the game used metadata ids to store data about leaf decay, these ids were later reused in Beta 1.2 for birch and spruce leaves, but those existing blocks when converted into 1.2 will also contain jungle leaves because the game doesn&apos;t remove those unobtainable leaf ids.
