  What makes a teen smoke?  What makes teens drive cars recklessly, or take other physical risks?   They don't believe anything bad can happen to them.   They believe they are better and invulnerable.   They have lived sheltered lives, and haven't yet experienced negative outcomes of their choices to convince them of their frailty.

  I greatly pity the people who start smoking - whether they are children, teenagers, young adults, middle-aged people, or (in some rare cases) elderly people.  May God have mercy on them - and on the rest of us!

  I love learning about and knowing how accessible, addictive, and destructive alcohol, weed, and cigarettes are. It's so reassuring. My past abuser (older brother) is still hopelessly addicted to all 3 (specifically cigarettes, not vaping) and is getting weaker and dumber everyday. I'm so happy to learn about the science and statistics of how hard they all are to quit because it's a guarantee and reminder he will die sooner and suffer more until it finally happens. He shows no signs of ever becoming sober from any of those 3 and I hope he never does.

  Fortunately many people have never smoked, in the active sense of the term.  We need more eye-opening and facts-emphasizing documentaries such as this one.  Thank you very much for posting this documentary here on YouTube!

  Between 1985 and 1987, a girl who was also attending a junior high school module in Finland (although she was not in my home room) joked to me:   "But smoking is healthy!"  Hopefully she has stopped smoking a long time ago.

  Grew up in the 70's and 80's when smoking was like chewing gum. The problem is the effects are so gradual don't notice the loss of lung capacity until so much is damage notice just walking around have problem breathing.

  I quite 2 weeks ago it’s been hard especially when I see other people smoking but I know it’s for the better.

  I live in the United States and I see a large number of young women in their late teens and twenties who smoke.  Just awful.  My sister started smoking when she was 12.

  I have been smoking for about 4 years now and I really regret starting it.. I tried to not smoke again but still I smoke again..<br>Everyone who is trying to smoke, please don&apos;t.. It&apos;s reallllly hard to leave it.. But I will try until I leave it

  I smoked for 35 years. I quit three months ago. Coughing and phlegm diminished, I can ride my bicycle better, but other than that everything is the same. I was one of those persons that didn&apos;t stink but &nbsp;just for a few minutes after smoking a cigarette. Food smells and tastes just as well as it did while I was smoking. I don&apos;t regret quitting, but for me, the difference was not that great.
