  I bought a SRK 3V in 2017 and I’ve beat the crap out of it. It’s never let me down. Never had a problem. Then I started watching DBK and now I have the A1 pro, Aurora 3V, Gunny scandi 3V, Aurora scandi Magnacut….. and on and on lol. Love all of them. However, when I’m in the woods near Algonquin park Canada where I live with black bears, bobcats, and wolves, sleeping beside my SRK somehow makes me feel safer than all the others, and that’s why I carry it more than any other knife.

  Hey fellas idk how much the falkniven is, but I got the cold steel 3v for $135 and sometimes you can find it for $100. That’s bang for your buck

  The SRK is easily the best knife deal on the market in America. It’s consistently $100. For now it’s actually the best knife deal I’ve ever seen. Even at $150 it would be a great deal. The A1 is consistently $255-$280.<br>Love the A1 but in this market it can’t compete for the price at least.

  This is probably heresy, but they are both fine knives. When I was in the military in 2005-2006, knives were mostly used to break windows of cars to search for IEDs and also to pry open ammo cans or car doors. The new Marine Corps issued bayonet was a little bulky. Most Marines bought either Cold Steel SRKs (carbon steel), Cold Steel Tantos (carbon steel) or Gerber LMF2s but a few had the Fallkniven A1. I had both the Fallkniven A1 and the Gerber because the pommel helped break car windows better than Kabars. Both worked but &nbsp;I ended up carrying the Gerber because it was smaller with a built in sharpener. The Gerber said it was Swedish Steel, not the 420 of later Gerbers. SRK, Gerber, and Fallkniven were considered great knives but the Kabar or GI Ontario copies broke their tips prying open stuff.

  Here in the US, we can get a Cold Steel SRK in 3V for anywhere between $100-$130 USD. Which is on average about half the price of a Fallkniven A1.

  I field dressed, then quartered a full moose with a falkniven knife like this and a small folding saw. Then packed everything out with a pack board. Best hunt of my life. But I would use the cold steel as well.

  I&apos;ve always resisted the desire to acquire a Fallkniven. Two reasons: a blade steel which is not as tough and availability of Cold Steel products here in the U.S. Because of these reasons I started wirh Cold Steel knives and will continue.

  Love your content, Afrikaans Dutchman from South Africa. We call a frekedel a dosage in puff pastry like a small sossage role. Just bought the Cold Steel Koban in AUS 8A maid in Taiwan. It has a convex grind. Looks like I need to get a SRK😅
