  The part that hurts me with these stories is that there&apos;s usually a kernel of truth to the conspiracy - there <i>was</i> something there, some meaning <i>was</i> supposed to be there, it just didn&apos;t fit the god damn budget/schedule.<br>It gives an insight into an artistic vision that was not, and likely never will be, fully realised. It&apos;s like... staring at a wall of beautiful architecture while holding a sketch of the full building. The melancholy hits you like a truck.

  Thinking upon how BluePoint left the sword as the &quot;last big secret&quot; in their remake, I&apos;m reminded of the essence of the term &apos;Fan Service&apos; in its most essential form: it was both a recognition of the fan&apos;s service, and a service to the fans that made it possible. I love that.
