  Thank you for that! I have a couple of olive trees in pots. Looking leggy and straggly. You’ve unlocked something for me: I was always afraid to prune thinking that they’re extremely slow-growing and that any growth is precious.<br>What I’ve understood is that I need to repot and make sure their have the right compost &amp; perlite/grit. Secondly if they’re happy I can prune quite hard and it will only stimulate growth. So thanks again! 🙏🏼

  Awesome video. Period. I recently acquired an Olive tree from Destin, Florida and brought it to my home in Columbus, Indiana. It’s doing well this summer but our winters are harsh and I will repot and bring it inside my house by October. Cheers!

  This video popped up in my feed at just the right time! Ive had my olive for about 10-15 years and I love the size it’s at and it’s in a decent size Terracotta pot but it needs re-potting and pruning. I wasn’t sure what earth to use to maximise success and have been procrastinating. I now know and will get some grit to add to my compost and add in some feed and Epsom. Great video, many thanks 😊

  One tip! When pruning olive trees, don&apos;t throw away the leaves; &nbsp;you can use them to make tea instead. Ancient Romans used olive leaves to prepare herbal infusions, which were valued for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and cardioprotective properties.
