  The most unsettling idea is that permafrost does not really “preserve” things. It postpones them. Something can stay quiet for 30,000 years and become relevant again the moment the ice melts.

  Regarding the explosion at Tunguska , <br>We are told in the deep recesses of space the temperature falls to one degree above absolute zero, ie 1 Kelvin.<br>At that temperature all gasses would freeze and may acrete into comets.<br>If a Hydrogen comet struck Earth&apos;s atmosphere, on contact with Oxygen it would immediately explode at a great height likely creating a force and heat equal to that of a Hydrogen bomb. &nbsp;<br>Then vast quantities of water falling as rain would occur and water vapour would simply blow away on the wind, <br>This is apparently what happened a Tunguska as no meteroid particles have ever been found.<br>The only thing that was noticed by scientists was water, lots of water.<br>A similar explosion appears to have occurred above the Libyan desert as a considerable volume of sand was heated to a temperature that it turned iit into yellow glass, therefor explosions caused by Hydrogen comets may not be all that uncommon.
