Every question, my answer was “well, it depends on what ‘this’ defender does.” “This defender” is always the player making the decision as to which player to guard in the 1v2 scenario.

This is actually a game of "guess what the defender is going to do next". At the point you pause, the answer is always "draw the defence further before you decide".

You should do one from the off ball perspective. Knowing when to cut and when to space is just as important.

1:12 well yeah i didn't know he was gonna fake pass, if he didn't fake the pass the defender would've trapped him leaving A open for a 3 pointer lol

This is a gap in basketball content 😂.

Soooo many content creators talk about moves and skills, not enough talk about simple basketball, 2 guards 1 and how to exploit the resulting 1 guards 2.

Please continue making this type of content!

video would have been half decent if u paused right as they are about to pass instead of the defender still having time time to move after we make a decision

Also a question of personnel. The one more pass is often to get it to a better shooter who is in rhythm. In #3, There is secret option C. Monaco's #32 in the corner making a baseline cut would leave the defender to little chance to guard 2, either Diallo - who shot great from 3 last year - would get a practice 3 or 32 would get a layup.

I’ve been waiting for this type of video for years! Absolutely love this format man
It’d be cool to see the same quiz, but on defense. Like analyze how great defenders think

Every time I search "basketball IQ test", it always comes up with trivia questions about players, teams, rules, etc. This is actually what I'm looking for. This is very informative bro, essentially makes you guess what the defense is gonna do and forces you to make the right reads. Please make more of these!
