  I had a carpenter ant invasion a couple years ago. I caught the scout scouting out my kitchen, but it marked its path before I killed it & more soon followed. They were coming in from the side door which is in the kitchen & all used the path the scout made. It was easy to kill them on the path in the kitchen & I used granules around the perimeter of the house. No more carpenter ants in my house, but I need to treat the perimeter at least once before fall.

  Nice video.  I fought with carpenter ants for over a month. Gave up and called a pro who did everything that you did. A few died inside, but their army laughed and continued their occupation.  I applied delta dust at all plumbing locations & baseboards.  Finally made wet sugar & borax 50/50 baits. Three weeks later, I now see an occasional lethargic ant. I believe that I am now winning the war.

  Inside  carpenter ants generally suggest a leak or water damaged wood somewhere in the house ,possibly  in the attic

  This is like a comedy watching this guy try to suck up ants without the proper vacuum attachment. The title of this video should be how important it is to have the right tools.

  We had a big infestation from February<br>this year to June. Orkin found a nest behind the dishwasher .. the ants had followed the water pipes and chewed through the cupboards and made thie nest. Another nest was under our deck and the ants were coming in through our patio door. <br>They live damp places. Another nest was behind our Stove they had bored through the floor cupboards.
